During New York Fashion Week, Sally Hansen launched the revolutionary ManiMatch™ app at its first ever Personalised Pop-Up Nail bar in Soho, NYC.
Together with the Sally Hansen team, we used the technology behind the app to create a pop-up nail bar powered by the people in it. The more people used the #ManiMatch app to find their perfect Sally Hansen shade, the more the shop changed colour to the most popular shades of the moment. The digital retail scanning wall enabled users to try shades on virtually by simply scanning the bar codes of the bottles.
The launch, kicked off on Friday 18th September with an exclusive press breakfast with Sally Hansen’s Global Colour Ambassador, Madeline Poole. The doors were then open to the public with a constant flow of over 2,500 people in the space over the course of the weekend. The personalised pop-up was alive with New York trends straight from the catwalk, Madeline Poole’s live workshop sessions and people queuing around the block to use the vending machine. The vending machine utilised the app technology for users to select and receive their perfectly matched shade, and also contributed to the powering of the personalisation of the space. As the shade #RhapsodyRed increased in popularity, the shop glowed red, other popular choices included; #BeatnikBlue, #CreamOfTheCrop cream and #TipsyGyspy pink!
